In the News – April 2021 Meeting
The April 27, 2021 meeting was held at The Detention @ The Elementary in Morrison. We thank member Bernadette Doud for the awesome venue. On a side note, they have awesome wings and pizza. YUM!
Citizens Tri-County Bank sponsored the refreshments along with a goody bag. Thank you to all our Citizens Tri-County Bank members for providing the snack, goodies, and all the work of setup and tear down.
Thank you also goes to Miller Photography/Shelly Miller for the stylist name tags and lanyards. We couldnt do it without the help of the steering committee and all the volunteers that say “yes, I’ll do that” when asked to handle registration, voting, and annoucement duties. THANK YOU!
At our meeting, three charity speakers were given 5 minutes to pitch their organization and each got five minutes for questions. All did a great job.
Recipient Lana Whitlock shared the growth in the senior population at the center since the pandemic. She shared stories of specific successes and why funding is crucial in making sure the work continues. She invited everyone to come by and check out the center and attend an event. She also reminded us the Thrift Store will take items and all proceeds go to the Senior Center.
Congratulations to the Senior Center and to Director Lana Whitlock!
